Giovanni Cassuti is an Italian manager with a long career in the chemical sector and a strong focus on the culture of sustainability. He has held management roles in major Eni group companies, particularly in Versalis.
After a PhD in Economics and a consulting experience at Institute for Social Research, he served as CEO of the Hungarian subsidiary, Dunastyr. Subsequently, he gained various international experiences within the Eni group before returning to the headquarters, where he first led the Polyethylene business unit and then the Elastomers unit. His professional career is marked by a constant drive for sustainable innovation, both in industrial processes and in the responsible management of resources.
In 2023, he was appointed president of Corepla, the National Consortium for the Collection, Recycling, and Recovery of Plastic Packaging. In this role, he promotes an industrial vision based on the circular economy, fostering technological innovation, the improvement of environmental performance, and collaboration among businesses, institutions, and citizens. His actions aim to make the plastic packaging management system increasingly efficient, transparent, and sustainable.
